Painted My Own Door Handles

yesterday i painted my side body trim and front door handles on my 2000 ecsd 4x4. got my paint code from gm dealer (olympic white) went to canadian tire and bought some green tape, 2 cans of duplicolor olympic white and one can of wax/grease remover. cleaned the moulding real good, dried it, tape and masked off rest of truck, sprayed 5 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear. i have to say this was the best bang for the buck apperance mod i've done to my rig it looks very slick and truck looks way more up scale denali looking. it looks like the paint was applied at factory/exact same shade and color.

total cost, around 40.00 cad.

now i just need to figure something out for the mirrors, find some fender flares, and possibly upgrade grille

will post some pics when i buy a new memory card.

Did you not take them off or apart to paint them? I agree, definately the most bang for the buck.

no i just left them on the truck while painting, was kind of a b i t c h to get up in behind the handle though. i didn't sand the texture out either, with 5 coats of paint it made everything smooth.
