Mcgaughy's Vs. Djm 3/5 Drop

Recommended Posts

I have a 2500HD 2wd Crewcab Longbed and my wife is only 5'2". I want to put a 3/5 drop on it and want to know from peoples experiences with each brand of kit.

The DJM uses new lower control arms for the front and hangers/shackles for the rear.

The McGaughy's uses a drop spindle and new torsion key to get the front drop and the rear is hangers/shackles.

Which is the preferred method for dropping the front? Pro's and Con's of each also. I will be removing the facory overloads and replacing them with an airbag setup to maintain my towing capacity as well.

I don't have any personal experiences with these companies, but from what i've read and heard I would go with McGaughy's. Reasons being McGaughy's is a very reputable company and works with a lot of hot rods and classics, and the fact they use spindles not LCA. There was an article I read not too long ago on LCA's that was very interesting. I'll do some digging and see if I can find it for you. Good luck in your searching
