Nbs Dome Lights.

I read and followed the book and it doesn't work. All the book says is push the button in, to turn on the auto selection and let it out to have it off. I just want the lights to work when the doors open at night. It was like that on the last truck too but it worked. It's new, hope it's not broke!

Best I can tell you is to ensure the dome light override switch is off and the dimmer is also turned up. Should work for you. I know that seems like an oversimplification of the issue but that should be all it takes. If that doesn't work, swing by you dealer and ask them to take a look.

Does yours have the DIC? On mine, it is programmed within those options.

Yes, so how do I get to it?

So I still can't get those lights to work on auto. I have tried everything. The sad part is I'm an electronics tech, but I don't have the right manufacture's publication, cause if I did I'd be in some real trouble if I still couldn't figure it out! Does any one know how this works. Oh, and I did read the manual and that does not work!

I had the same problem on my 07. I thoght my dome light was broke. I took it back to the dealer and had a mechanic come out and at first he was confused, come to find out there is a slide button over the dome override button, push the square on the left or right side and it should work. this is how mine came on.

I hear that, do you know how many times I kept pushing the override button. As you stated I could not find that in the manual.

I was having the same problem, but thanks to this thread, I was able to get mine working. The owner's manual doesn't make it clear which button is the dome light override button. I also didn't realize the top part of the mechanism is a switch. A picture in the owner's manual would take care of this problem.
