Kyb Monomax Or Gasajust

I'm finally getting rid of my 110,000 mile old stockers. I want to go with KYB but would like some input on which ones to get. I know both the MonoMax and Gasajust are monotube design, I just need to know which will fit my needs better. I do a decent amount of towing a 19 ft. deckboat, and having the bed full of something, don't do any crazy off roading but do on ocassion head down the unbeaten path. C & A's Dad, I know your an advocate...I need input. Thanks :shakehead:

Chris, from what I have experienced with customers who have bought both KYB series from us, I would recommend the MonoMax without hesitation. The Gas Adjust is a great shock but if you do not have a load in the truck or do not have your trailer hooked up, they will ride stiffer than the MonoMax. I know this sounds crazy and just the opposite of what you might think, but from all I can gather, it is true.

The Mono Max by no means is a soft, sloppy shock, and it is designed for heavy use, off road and towing. However, due to it's internal valving, it will provide a less harsh ride when not loaded. These are very high quality shocks and you will be happy with them.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you like them.

I will try not to beat up on Monroe too bad because some folks are happy with them and they offer a decent shock for their price point. I will simply say, Monroe is a great "marketing company" who sells shocks. KYB and Bilstien are great engineering companies who sell ride control.
