Tuned Pcms For Nbs Gmc 6.0 Vmax

I have been in e-mail contact with both Charlie @ Wheatleys and Jesse @ Wait4me, both tell me they cannot tune the PCMs for the NBS GMs yet (not my 6.0 anyway).

Does anyone know anything more about this? Why? When? Any info would be nice. I am speculating it has to do with AFM, but not sure?

Thanks!

I spoke to Wait4me yesterday and was told he didn't have a time frame for the availability of the Core PCM's for the NBS Trucks. He also said he didn't have any of the hand-help programers for the NBS Trucks either, but expected to get some of them sometime next month. I personally like the idea of having 3 different tunes available and the capability of returning it to stock without popping the hood and crawling around under the hood. So, once the hand-helds are available, I'll probably go that route. He did say he has the capability to manipulate the DoD/AFM as well.

Thanks for the info/update!!! Yeah, I am seriously considering this option now too. How much for a handheld with a few pre-loaded custom tunes? Where do you hook up a handheld to load tunes? Any insight or info would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM if youprefer.

Thanks!!!

I think he said it would be $370 or something close and it does come with 3 custome tunes. You plug it into the OBDII Port that located under the dash just left of center under the steering wheel. It will save the stock yune to the hand-held and upload the new custom tune. If you ever take it in for service, you just reload the stock tune just in case they reflash your computer during service. The upload only takes a couple minutes after the first time.

Thanks! Do you know what brand it is? Diablo Predator?

I think I will try to get ahold of Jesse tomorrow. I just may have to buy one of these when he gets them.

OK< Westers told me that they can tune the 07 nbs, and can remove TM and more importantly the abuse mangmt AB but you have to send in your pcm/ecu as none available at this time. I think he said the price is $495.. I m a little sceptical, anyone tried this yet?? Their number is 888-937-8371

Any update on the nbs vmax tunes?

I got HPTUNER software for just a bit more than a single use handheld and did it myself on my NBS VMAX 6.0 and the wifes 07 NBS Yukon Denali, and still have enough credits to do my Dads new truck and the neighbors if I want. TQmgmt and the retarded way they search for a gear at low speeds (both the 4sp HD and the 6sp in the Denali) were really getting on my nerves.... not anymore

A little more work than having someone do it, but I thought it was more fun, plus I can change ANYTHING, ANYTIME (4 minutes before a long trip, or 4 minutes before pulling a trailer, etc) One heck of a learning curve though there is plenty of support, technically and moral.

I had SuperChips on my V10 Excursion, I thought that was cool.... I would never go back. "come to the dark side, we have cookies..."
