02 2500 Hd 6.0 Ticking Noise

have a ticking noise sound's like a lifter tick truck has 52000 mile's is this is this just another so called normal noise like the piston slap.it does it warm or cold i don't want to waste my time to bring it to the dealer just to here it's normal or the ever famous line they can't duplicate the problem. so do any of you have this noise just started around 51000 mile's

Have 01 2500 6.0L 70000 miles, does the same thing. I read a print out once that said there maybe a problem with a oil pump o-ring that causes some airation (sp) in the oil that can cause some lifter noise...dont know if this is what you or I are hearing or not...

It seems there are a lot of them making some ticking noises, but it doesn't seem to cause any real problems.

my 02 6.0L also does it but only for about 10 -20 seconds after starting. As soon as the oil starts circulating it goes away. I personally do not worry about it.
