Desperado Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I just put on Flowmaster catback dual exhaust with a 40 series muffler. It is way too loud, my gf hates it and the cab resonance is very high. How much would a 50 or 70 series muffler help reduce the sound? Thanks...
BOWTIE 3 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I've had a " 70 Series " dual cat-back system on my 2001 extra-cab for about 5 years. I'm very happy with it. It's a " conservative rumble " under light acceleration and let's itself be known when called upon. The REAL advantage of a " 70 series " Flowmaster is on the highway at 60-70 MPH. It doesn't have the dreaded resonance that gives everyone in the truck a headache.
