03 Hd 6.0 Seems To Idle Ruff At Times

Anyone have a problem or clue into this?Bought it used at 39,000.have 49,00 on it in a year.Have always noticed a lil roughness at idle.Not shake your teeth, but its there.No codes.It will have the antenna shaking some when it idles rough.Seems more like a side to side lope when you set in the truck at idle.Again its not a oh sh*t its gonne shake apart idle lol just a noticable one at times.Great site, very informing to me so far!!!!!!!

hey we have 4 trucks with the 6.0 and we have found taking carb cleaner and a rag and cleaning the throtle plate and what you can reach of the intake helps

Cleaning the intake or doing a top engine clean (using a product like SeaFoam) before your next oil change should help... My '01 would do the same as yours. It felt like another 50-100 RPM at idle would have cleared it up, but I never had any problems or codes.

FLUSH THE INJECTORS WITH THE GM PROCEDURE, CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER, CLEAN THE THROTTLE BODY (INDUCTION SERVICE), AND UPDATE THE PCM FOR IDLE IMPROVEMENTS. YES YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AND SPEND MONEY BUT YOUR TRUCK IS DUE FOR SERVICES AT THAT MILEAGE ANYWAYS.
