Dash Paint Help! Need To Repaint It If Possible!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a fix for the dash board for the soft rubbery paint they used to paint it with that scratches off over time? If GM makes a rubbery paint to redo it or if anyone does.

I noticed on my new truck that there was a little bump sticking up on the dash. I wiped over it while cleaning and it came off and then I noticed the black dash underneath. I am going to file a warrantly claim or find a way they can fix it otherwise it will get worse. Good luck!

i am not sure what is used from the factory, but it's not suprizing that they are having one dash total and just painting them to match.

 

i know krylon fusion works real good for plastic, and holds up to flexing. seems to hold up good as well to UV.

I've used DuPont interior dash paint to touch up a spot that I scratched and it worked perfect. Can't even tell it was ever scratched. The paint shop used the paint codes from my glove box and made a perfect match. Just make sure you clean the area before you paint it.

Duplicolor now has really good paint for this.

I've used a product called Mar-Hyde for years. It's available wherever automotive paint is sold and comes in a lot of colors. Pretty durable stuff for painting interior plastic. It will even hold up when you do a color change.
