In-channel Window Visors

Has anyone installed the in-channel (tapeless) window/vent visors on their NBS truck? I see EGR and Autoventshade has these. Do they rattle or make other noise driving? Do they fall out?

Thanks!

I installed a set of WeatherTech vent shades from McNeil Auto at http://www.weathertech.com. They are the best quality and fit that I have found. I had a set of EGRs on my last truck, and some other brand before. As far as falling out, not an issue at all. No rattles either. Until they fully seat in, you may encounter some squeak sounds when the windows first go down or at the last moment when raising them up.

I have a set of in channel Vent Shades on my Yuk XL and they have been on for almost 2 years. They have never come out and make no noise at all.

The only noise you will notice is going to be from the wind when driving. Since they sit in-channel, the window seal will not seat fully. After a few weeks of driving, it won't be as bad and I'm sure if you a tolerable person, it will not bother you for long. Weathertech seems to be a great brand from what I've heard, but personally I have a set of AVS in-channel and couldn't be any happier.

I've also got a set of weathertechs on my 02....no problems whatsoever but they do rattle when the window is down which is very seldom. I actually bought them for the 99 I had and moved them to the 02 when I bought it so they've been around a long time.

I just bought a set for my NBS crew cab off ebay for 50 bucks shipped....They aren't weathertech, I forget the name now but they work great...Can't hear them and they are in the channel very solid...

Are the ones you buy at the dealership in channel? I want the painted (white) ones for my 08 Denali (white duh  , to be built next week.

dont put on color matched vent guards!!! They look TERRIBLE!!!! Thats just my opinion though, it reminds me of some cheesey pep boys stuff when they are color matched....Although mine are color matched by default....LOL I guess I dont make any sense do I??

I have a set of EGR's and love them.Fit like a glove and no rattles/squeeks from the moment they were installed. Highly recommended !

I'm leaning towards weathertech based on folks input here, and the fact the they're only a little more expensive than the EGR's. Do folks buy the weathertechs directly from MacNeil, or from other venues?

I was concerned about wind noise before I bought the AVS in channel's but a friend promised me that I would never know they were there. He was right, mine have no noise at all. In fact, I took off a set of stick on's and it seems the in channel ones reduced some wind noise because they are more streamlined.

Buy your Weather-Techs from Cabela's. The Cabela's branded ones are Weather-Tech. If you compare the product and the descriptions, you'll see what I mean.

I had an issue with the Weather-Tech on my driver's side front rattling when the window was down. I applied a few drops of 3M molding adhesive to the part that is in the channel. It won't move at all now! I hope I don't need to remove it for some reason...

I'm picking up a set of those floor mats from that site.
