Power Heated Mirrors

My window sticker and invoice tag state that my new truck (07 sierra vmax SLE1 with convience and preffered packages) has heated mirrors but I cannot find a button anywhere to turn them on? Also, I have not noticed anything on them showing they are heated. So how do I work them? Thanks.

Seeing the configuraion of your truck makes me woder if mine are heated... I have the rear window defogger (Am I the only one that finds this somewhat useless on a truck?) Have a 1LT, with convenience package... Now I'll have to look. Are the heated ones only on signal mirrors?

Um, maybe... I used my defrost/defoger this past Sunday morning. Check the mirror to see if there is a small set of squiggly lines to indicate heated option laser engraved on the mirror face in the corner.

My mirrors have no indication of being heated and they do not have the turn signals in them. I wouldnt have known they were supposed to be but the run down of options in the windos and the print out I got before getting in on dealer trade listed it.

I figured this out for my 1LT which has heated non-turn mirrors. The heat comes on with the rear window defroster. Try it when the temperature is cooler (first thing in the morning) and after a few minutes you can actually feel the face of the mirror heating up.

I've had a couple of pickups with it, and I agree...Never really needed it.

I don't even know if the heated mirrors in my '02 worked either.

But we don't live in Fargo either. :D

I live in the Bay Area, CA and there were some days when that rear-window defogger helped a lot. I get up early to head out to work and sometimes my truck's all frosted up. As this is california, I don't have a scraper anymore, so I just hit the defogger and wait a minute or two and the stuff just slides off that rear window.

Pretty handy really. Though I think the power sliding rear window is usually more handy.

I have the signal mirrors and lately here in PA when I head out for work my mirrors are covered with dew and can't see with them so I just turn on the rear defroster and in a couple of minutes they are completely clear. I don't know if they will work that well in the winter when it snows but I guess I'll find out.

I also have the power rear sliding window.

So the mirror heater is on the climate control selector knob (far right one). Just push it in.
