Condensation In Drl Casement

Recommended Posts

Condensation builds up in my driver side DRL/Blinker casement, has this happened to anyone else. Is there a reason for it. Any fixes?

You have a leak somewhere in the sealant. You can either get a new one, try to dry it out and then run a bead of silicone around it, or go the ghetto route like my coworker and put a weephole in. He heated a coat hanger with a torch and then poked a small hole in the bottom. It still fogs up, but there's a place for the moisture to go so it can dry out.

Mine did the same thing.............just pull them off, dry them real good and run a bead of silicone on the seal on the back side..........just like 'iminaquagmire' said............worked for me.............no more condensation.

:) Siliconed twice after drying, condensation is back!!!

Drill holes in the bottom. Any other ideas?

In that case, there's probably a crack or hole somewhere in the housing. If you can't get it by caulking you're probably best off just buying a new light. Drilling a hole will let the moisture escape but its not going to help with the condensation. It'll just allow it to not stay fogged up.
