Guest 007FL Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 I'm on the verge of getting an '07 Sierra with either SLE2 or SLT trim. Would like to see pics of your aftermarket head units. I'm really interested in how the surround trim fits and looks. Thanks,
-Devil- Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 will snap a few pics of mine by this afternoon .. it is an alpine 9883 in a scosche install kit .. (single or double din, i did single with pocket below... got my ipod resting in the pocket) ... fit is fair ... the dash peice has a bit more of a curve to it .. and the front of the install kit is nearly flat .. (it is the same kit that is used in the impala's and a few other cars ... will replace my kit when i find one made specifically for the nbs silverado or when i get bored enough to make my own)

Then when you reply here click on the little icon that lookings like a sunrise. Go to photobucket and click on the second link under your photo and it will copy the link. -Devil- Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 looks good, i wish someone would make a box like that for the normal truck interiors in the nbs ... (i can still take pics of mine if you needed a photo from the normal truck interior) ....
Guest 007FL Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 kritter9992 That looks sweet. Did you leave the head sticking out a little on purpose or do you think you could make it more flush? Is that sub going under a console (haven't really checked out the Silverado interiors)? -Devil- What is a "normal" interior? Post up, I need all I can get.
-Devil- Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 the box he has, fits inside the center console for the trucks with the (luxury) interior ... (not sure the exact name of it) ... mine has the 'Truck' interior .. (heavier plastic, normal styled dash, bench seat in the front, etc) ... the radio mount location is different between them ... the one that he has ... IIRC is closer to the suv interior setup ... here are a couple of pics of my dash for refrence .. and of the radio mounted in it from an angle...

Post up, I need all I can get. thats where my installer put it, i think thats as far in as it can get, the alpine unit might be a lil deeper because of the blackbird 2 navigation system that goes into the head unit. i think it looks good, the subbox is a jl audio stealthbox. it works awesome, instead of a regular subbox that would sit underneath the rear seat, this one doesnt take away from any space or looks. the new silverado has lt and ltz interiors, the lt is a normal, or regular truck interior, the ltz is a more luxurious interior in my opinion.

I see you have speakers in your A-pillars? Do those come in all interior options? I thought that was just with the Bose system?
