I was thinking of buying a toolbox for my truck but I don't know which one. There are chest types, low profiles, and much more. Which one do you have?

I have the new tool box with the GMC logo on it and it slides back and forth on the rails of the cargo management system. I love it. Its big enough for what I want, theres space underneathe it and its not high so you can still have a cover. Its a bit pricy, I paid $700CD for it, but I already had the Cargo Management installed at factory when I ordered the truck. Ill take a pic and send it too you.

I bought a DU-HA box for under the rear seat of my 07 NBS X-Cab. I like it a lot. It holds lots of stuff and is locked when the cab is locked. It is easy to access and the whole bed is free to use.

I don't have the fanciest of toolboxes, but it definitely gets the job done. I have a Husky Deep Well Truckbox: http://tinyurl.com/yq9dmf

I'm very happy with this box, and I've not had any issues of water leaking in as of yet. It's pretty easy to install, and the price isn't too bad. It's not as fancy as the Delta Pros, or Weatherguard, but it works really well for me. I've had it for about 8 months now, so I guess I'd know much better in a few years. It seems to be built pretty well for my taste and it installs with 2 j-bolts.

My new to me 02 ECSB has a extra deepbox w/ the lid the avg 4-6 in above the side rails. Great so far w/ the extra depth, but tonite I could not get my multi-ladder under it so I could close the tailgate. Two inches too long,... how often ya gonna hear that. Or the box is a few in. too deep. If I raise it, I cannot see the tail gate in the rearview. My 01 F150 Crew cab had the short profile box, reg. depth, polished. They look better to me, just do not hold as much. I do like the solid lid.

Some of the many decisions when trying to pick a box. Style, utility, bed usage, lo profile, plastic, aluminum, polished & staying in a budget.

Good Luck,

Sounds good guys. Is the DU-HA box a GM product or is that aftermarket?

The DU-HA is aftermarket, seen in Cabelas for one. It comes in three colors and fills up the area under the rear seat. It has slots to hold firearms, and space for tools and other things. It mounts via straps around the seat belt brackets, so no drilling is necessary. It is around $189 and shipping.

Truck customizers . com sells Du Ha for 170 bucks shipped I like mine its factory looking. I have a UWC tool box and I have had them for years $290.Dont buy trhe ones from Home Depot or the local auto parts stores they dont hold up(latches and hinges break-lid twists).I really like williamsvmax tool box but for me I need to put things like plywood in the bed regularly and I wouldnt be able to put too many sheets in with the little bit of clearance under it.

When I bought my NBS back in march I got a $500 gift card to Lowes for buying the truck. I bought the Kobalt low profile box and I really like it. The logo on the back looks really good and it is a well built box. Do no buy a RDS box. I had one on my 04 Z and it was a POS. I have had good service from cam locker, united welding, and also blue marlin. I mainly chose the kobalt beacuse I had $500 to spend.
