My New Truck Too

Recommended Posts

Hi All:

I had to show my new '06 as well (bought it in April however). Was not really looking too hard for a new truck, but found this one and could not pass it up. This truck was purchased for $24,000 prior to trade ('94 Silverado Ext Cab, 2wd). The truck only had 2400 miles on it. The original sticker listed the cost at $33 K (has most of the goodies except Bose Sound, Leather etc..however, it has the aluminum 5.3). The only thing I have done are the topper, and sprayed on line-x bedliner.

The only down side that I might be able to cite would be the 3.42 gears :)

All in all I am very pleased with the truck, it gets good gas mileage (what else would you expect with the highway gears huh?).

Nice Truck buddy, I love the cap flat to the top of the truck, very sharp.

Clean looking truck. It was a steal. I was wondering about those mud flapps (that's what I call em) I'm not sure to put them on or not. I am moving up to the north west. They might do some good for mine. Do they do what they are sopposed to do or what?

I am not that convinced that the mud flaps do too much...they deflect the rocks right at the back of the wheel flare, but still allow rocks and crap to hit the door bottoms. I have not had a chance to see how they will work in the snow. I think that the deep contours are going to hold the snow????

VMAX, I wonder how the stainless steel portion holds up in deep snow...not that you or I have had it in many years; is it heavy enough not to bend?

Hopefully one of these years I'll get to find out.
