Higher Voltage Coil....increase Spark Plug Gap?

Ive recently put a higher voltage accel coil in my 98 GMC 5.7L. Do I need to increase the spark plug gap any to accommodate this change? My stock gap is supposed to be .060. Thanks

You do not want to increase the spark plug gap. If you do then you just wasted money on the coil. The more gap you have the more Voltage you need to make the spark. At .60 gap and high voltage coil you will have more powerful spark with the high voltage coil, but if you increase that gap you will have less powerful spark.

With MSD box and high volt coil you will want to slightly increase gap.
