Got the build date for my `08 GMC. It's the week of the 27th, next week! The best part is I ordered it two weeks ago. Seems awfully quick.

I did a little research and will share with you my findings as to who GM is getting your truck built so fast.

 

It seems GM had some commitment to Daewoo workers that are now unemployed. GM has been running behind with building the new GMT 900 series trucks so they are bringing in temp workers from Daewoo to fill the void and catch up on their backorders. Most cannot speak english but GM has developed posters with specific instructions as how to build your truck. I am sure your new truck will be ready ahead of schedule.

That's a good story, these days you just never know. Love the idea behind the poster's. I will surely enjoy it, no doubt!

I ordered my LTZ VMax July 16 and it arrived at the dealer Aug 20. Its getting the PDI and I"ll get it on Monday. I hate to rush the weekend for you guys, but I wish it was over.

Just got the call....my truck is here. Why so fast?!! I've ordered trucks before and this is by far, the soonest I have ever taken delivery.

 

I'm not complaining, just thought I had more time to get rid of the old one is all.
