Signature Pic Question

Is my signature pic annoying? I tried to make it small and not overbearing but I would like to know if it is uncool to have it at all. I know you all have opinions... Should I just lose it altogether?

Well hell look at mine. It is almost 4x as big as yours. I say leave it as is.

I think that's ok... your truck is almost 4x as big as mine in real life!

I think yours is perfect Zembonez. Clean cut, easy on the eyes, nice shot. I think mines big, but everyone on here seems to have big ones so i leave it go.

I just want to play fair here... don't want to be that guy that stinks up the place. I've seen some forums that have pics galore and some that have none.

Thanks.

Edited to fix my fat fingered typing... sorry.

Looks fine to me.

The only thing I don't like about it (which is just personal preference thing) is the color. I don't like red vehicles. No reason, just don't.

But it's not a pic of my truck, it's yours, so if you like it, keep it. If ya don't like it, change it.

Mine's a little larger too, and some dial-up folks might not like it, but I don't think this site is very dial-up friendly anyhow, is it?

Your signature pic is fine. If anything it could be a bit bigger. Its nice to see everyones truck when you are talking about them. Then if you see something that someone else has done you can ask them about it. Thats just my opinion.

I'm not going to lie to you, I'd rather see huge pics than have people listing every single mod to their chosen vehicle. I don't need to know that you changed out your right rear quarter panel because it got dinged up. As long as everything typed is kept short, sweet, and organized, I have absolutely no problems.

No this site definitely isn't dialup friendly. That is what I'm on right now.

Also with the bigger signature pictures, its easier to photochop something for someone, and clown around with my07silvy.

His truck pimped out was a . . . work . . . of . . . art?

You can always disable pictures html and other goodies for faster viewing. I have 10mbps cable and still disable pictures and can enable them on as needed basis. Makes for a smoother expeirence on firefox for me. My07Silvys picture was just a having fun approach to pimpin his truck out, since everyone seems to have it out for him, and its pretty funny if you ask me.

Generally, we frown upon larger sig pics, as people with small monitors will have to scroll left/right in every thread you post in. Not to mention that a good portion of folks are still on dialup and it kills their load times.

Yours is perfect Jim.

If people really want people to see all the details in a picture of their truck, they should put a small picture like Zembonez did, and link a larger one if they so desire.

This site generally hasn't been an issue and members have been pretty understanding about it...But other sites? Man that crap gets out of hand and they have to break it down in the rules to exact sizes and whatnot. I'd hate to see that happen here.

Looks good to me also Zembones. That is one thing I have not seen to much of on these boards, is people complaining about the pic sizes. I used to be a MOD on a gaming sites' message boards/forums and the sig pics got way outta hand. Like Wingnut said, we tried laying out rules and stuff, but it didn't work out. We ended up having to manually set the pic sizes in the board settings themselves. Another thing is, people(in general) need to learn how to customize their browser/message board settings. It is not that hard to do and doesn't take that long either.

On another note, a message board/forum such as this. You have to have pics (not including sig pics) as for reference needs. It is so much easier to upload a pic as it is to describe how to do this and that. Especially if it is a long and involved process.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.

While I had my Nissan Titan, I joined the Titan forums and WOW. There were a lot of name calling posers and whiners in there... I felt like I had joined WingedSillyCivics.com or something.

I've been (and still am) a member of quite a few forums and most have turned into pure trash talk in short order. I sure am glad that is kept to a minimum here. As you guys can see I have been a member in here for a long time and this site has the best group I've seen anywhere.

We might not be perfect but go look in on one of the "others"...
