Loss Of Get Up And Go

Between 40 -50 mph the truck will stutter and the rpm will go up and down a gouple of times untill I either punch it of let off to get out of that range. The shop guy told me a month ago my cat's were done......is this a sign of clogged cat's?

Oh!!! And in looking underneath the truck I saw two cat's? Are they both cat's Do I have to replace both?

This is my same issue. I sent my PCM back in for a retune, but could it be the cats? I was told about a month and a half ago that my cats were done too.

 

And yes, they're both cats and I believe you have to replace both. Not sure though! But I do know they are both cats...unfortunately for those of us who get the joy of replacing them!

could be your TB also. Or a restriction in your intake. I read something a while back about a guy on here that pulled a plastic bag out of his intake. But you would thing this would screw with things in the entire rpm range.

This might help to pinpoint the cats being the prob. At night, drive it good and hard for about 20 mins or so. Then when you get back home, look under the truck. If the cats are getting clogged up they will be glowing cherry red. If they are, then your cats are clogged. ;)
