A New Forum Specific For Gmt900 Only

It has been done before and brought back together... I vote NO...

If you split the forums for trucks and SUV's or Different series of trucks, you lose people to the section. I dont check the 2500 section, and if it gets split it off you wont check the other sections... What comes down to is this way you get more people looking at your post and more ideas... solutions... etc

I say yes, the 800's are old enough to start having real problems that need solutions, and having to wade through the next generation of "what size tire with no lift" or "what blah blah blah something searchable" is turning me off from a really good site. i remember i joined this site becuase of "ask the gm tech", what a great feature. 800 guys will still watch the 900 sites pretty close, i mean i watch a duramax, powerstroke, and two cummins sites along with this one.

i would be happy ... if there was just an option added when making posts ... where the post(er) has to select a truck line that the post applies to ... if it is body specific... and that would show up below the subject line of the posts when previewing them in the forum ...

that way they are all still together ... but it is easier at a glance to see if the post you are trying to find, actually relates to your 'gen' truck or not ...

the following of people is what supports a forum ... yes it is nice having everything all together .. but at the same time ... it can be nice having an area that is just for a specific 'gen' of truck ... for when you are looking for more specific information.

I find it informative to read through key leveling, carburetor enrichment and dwell adjustments pertaining to the GMT900

 That's very true! My vote would be yes. My guess is that the owners of the older trucks would be spending a lot more time in the GMT900 forum (than vice versa) because they'll eventually be owners of newer trucks.

So what if there's another forum...you can check in there if you want or avoid it if you want. If there was a GMT900 specific forum, you'd know what the poster was asking about, whereas now, some members assume that everyone knows what they own...

No. Here's the issue I have with it. As guys progress more towards the GMT900's the guys rollin' the older trucks will have a harder time getting info. The guys they need to be talking to will be in another section. Plus, I just like most of those guys and don't want to have to go several places to talk to the guys I'm used to talkin' too. Also, friends can remain the same regardless the truck!
