Anyone Ever Line-x Below The Doors?

My 2000 truck has started to get some rust/flaking on the door sills. Below the door, where it wraps uder the truck. I was curious if anyone had ever had this section line-x'd. ( I dont want the whole rocker panel done, just the lower strip where it would hardly be visible.) I was thinking that if properly applied, would save me grief down the road. I plan on keeping this truck for quite some time. It has lived its whole life in the North East and is no stranger to salt on the roads.

I put rubberized undercoating on mine. Barley visible.

Would it still rust though under the coating?

If the rust isnt treated and the surface isnt prepped sure it can rust under and or through.

a lot of the rust in that area is caused from within.. not from the outside .. from water / salt / mud getting trapped up in there ... and eventually rusting out from the inside ...

I have seen it done before. It actally looks pretty good. Just gives it that 2 tone look. Guy had a big scratch where someone hit it. He was going to get it repainted but they wanted tto much. Said he just got the bottom around the whole truck rhino lined. Was way cheaper he said and he liked it better
