Rusty Fuel Lines

Recommended Posts

I have a 94 c1500 with a 4.3 and have very rusty fuel lines. I need to change my fuel filter. From what I gather from the vehicle repair history, the filter has only been changed once, and it now has 145,000. I really want to change it. The truck has no rust and runs awesome. I am wondering if I can change it and repir the lines with rubber. If I have to, repair with metal line and splice in with rubber at the connections. I am not sure of the fuel pressure in the lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think you'll be able to repair it that way,To fix it correctly and safe,Your going to have to buy the correct line from the dealer,The one that goes from the filter to the tank sending unit.

Make sure you give the dealer your VIN number,Or you can post or PM me your VIN and I'll give you the part number.
