Installation Question...

O.K. I have everything out of the box and all the parts are there. The instructions say to leave the existing rubber bushings and washers in place at the body mounts and bolt the brackets up to them. To me this seems a little strange. If you mount the brackets below the rubber bushings and tighten them up will there not be flexing down when they are stepped on??? Maybe this is a stupid question, maybe with the torque values they give for the bolts they will compress the bushings enough to eliminate any flexing?

Thanks in advance for any expert advice.

I'm definately no expert on this but, when I installed mine I thought the same thing that they would flex quite a bit but after I had them on and torqued them to the specs, they barely move at all when you step on them. They are very easy to install.

Thanks for the reply, I got them on about an hour ago and it was quite easy. I also used my torque wrench in a few contorted positions under the truck but a couple hours later success and they barely budge.

Glad to hear it was a success. Yeah the worst part was trying to have the room to torque them down.
