I've seen these wheels on NBS silverados around here and there, and could probably pick up a set or trade in my set and get them for a good price. Even though they are factory wheels, I think they would look great, what do you guys think? I can't stand the wheels I have now.

They are the 2nd set down, the info is:

Stock ID: AW5196 Size: 17x7.5 Type: Call

edit: a close by place has a oem wheel warehouse, and sell them for $225, I'm not sure if that is for a set or 1 wheel. My guess is 1 wheel. I emailed them and asked if I could do a trade in on my wheels, since they sell them too and they are in great condition.

I don't see much difference between these and the one in your sig pic???

The ones on my truck are the 1st set of wheels on that link, they have a 'dish' at the end of each spoke.

That site has bad pics, here's the place I emailed:

5154 CHEVROLET are the wheels I currently have

5196 Chevrolet/GMC are the ones I want

Not much of a difference, but I think they look hella better, and it will probably cost next to nothing if I can trade in my current wheels. The only s**tty part is I'll need new tires.

$225 per wheel for stock wheels is insanely high, especially for anything but 20" wheels.

Check craigslist for "chevy wheels" or "chevrolet wheels" or something, I just sold my 2007 GMC Sierra's wheels, with tires, for $500 for all four, and that's about the going rate for stock wheels & tires.

EDIT: here's a guy in Santa Cruz offering a full set of those wheels with tires for $250: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/pts/427700822.html

I think that those would look good on your truck, but not if they are $225/wheel. If that is the case I would just buy some good looking after market wheels.

I'm still waiting on their Email, but I reconsidered and I don't think they could be $225 a wheel, especially after trading in on mine. I can see it being a close trade, if not maybe 100 bucks after trading in on my wheels.

For 225 a wheel, you can get some 22s from discounttire.com, I was looking at black and chrome ones. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/f...&vid=010569 thats an example. They have tons of wheels, I would never pay that much for stockers. I got a replacement front wheel for my truck, a OEM Chevy one, for 50 bucks with a tire from a auto salvage yard because mine had a crack in it.

Im pretty sure they are $225 without a trade in on your current wheels. They Emailed me back but it was in my spam folder for some reason, I had to email them pics of my wheels for trade in.

$225 is about the right price for factory alloys new. That is how much insurance will pay you if you have a damaged one. That is of course a lot higher than new take offs. If I remember correctly these factory alloys are made for GM by Alcoa with new (un-recycled) aluminum (it may have changed for '07 I guess).

You know...For about $100 more, you could have a cam.

Don't say that!!!! I'd still need rods and springs though... but those are cheaper than new tires. I can't stand my wheels.

That and I'm still chooseing between the TR 220 and comp 212/218. If I can't get a steal on these wheels I'll put them off until later.

:banghead: Nut's a good guy, reguardless if he drives a soccer mom mobile or not...an awesome soccer mom mobile with a LS2...... :P

But yeah I've been looking into getting a cam for a while now, I'm probably going to order the cam alone soon, then get the rods and 918 springs later. I wish those tools at the wheel place would Email me back.

Yeah I'm just ribbin' him. He bought his truck from me.

I think your wheels are better looking than those 17s but I understand the want to upgrade too. Have you considered the new GMC 17 inchers? The look pretty darn nice and I see quite a few sets on Ebay pretty cheap.
