Paint Chipping On Front Bumper

I recently noticed the paint chipping off the front bumper (facia) and called my local dealer to see if it was covered under the Major guard extended warrenty I had. They said that paint was not covered but call the body shop some years have different paint warrenties. Well, I did not have the extra coverage but they said they would fix it anyways.

 

They removed the front and repainted it but when I picked the pickup up the paint tech said that it was not going to stick. So I am getting my complete front replaced under warrenty at 44,000.

 

I just thought I let everyone know that GM has been taking care of a loyal customer.

Congratulations. I'm glad that we still hear stories like this about good dealers in such a money hungry and selfish business world today. Was the paint chipping off due to stone chips or some sort of paint process defect?

It was not from stone chips, it was just starting flake off.

That is exactly what I said. She was going to order and told I would cover the differnce on a chrome one. No word yet because they are really backup from the strike. Hopefully they will go for the chrome with me.
