A/c Blows Cold Regardless Of A/c Switch Position

Hello All,

 

 

I have an '03 GMC Sierra 2500 with the 6.0 and 416,280 miles. My air conditioning blows ice cold air even if the a/c button is in the off position. Press the a/c button and the light turns on and off -- but the a/c is on all of the time the fan is in use. I'm aware that the a/c is used in the defrost position, but the a/c remains on in all positions. Does any body know what may be causing this issue? Thank you in advance.

Sounds like your switches most probably, a short of some kind, go to the dealer ask to see the part pop it in see if it works or not. What happens if its on heat? cause I know in my truck and car if you put the temp to hot evenwith ac on it blows hot air...

 

On a seperate note, How did you start a topic with only 2 posts? and thats some impressive milage.
