07 Hd Indash Brake Controller

Can anyone tell me how to hook up the in dash brake controller. Has a trailer gain in the info gauge. Doesn't seem to work though. Did notice a wire under the hood by the master cylinder that has a terminal loop on it. Does this need to be hooked up to a power post to activate the controller?

If you have the integrated controller, it is ready to go. You don't happen to have electric / hydraulic on your trailer do you? Compatible with electric only...

The wire under the master cylinder is for the 12V+ pin in the trailer connector. It goes to stud one on the fuse block. Your trailer may need this hooked up to activate the brakes. It is a 40A fused circuit.

If you don't have the integrated controller, you need to hook up the wire behind the fuse block to stud 2, then tie the after market controller into the wiring that is blunt cut and taped up under the dash.

Mine works great - just had to adjust the gain a bit.

You should not have to do anything - take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. There is both a blue and orange wire going from the fuse box in the engine compartment the blue one goes to the trailer brakes, the orange is +12V to charge the battery. Both should be attached to fuses inside the box. They should have been installed at the factory.
