Installing A Cb And Ham Radio In New Truck

I spent about 3 hours today cleaning out the old truck, and removing my Uniden 510XL CB, and Kenwood 707A Dual bander rig (Ham Radio) The question I have now is where I should mount them in the new 07 Sierra? I am thinking on the center console but gotta figure out the best way to run power and antenna cables through the firewall and into the engine compartment. Has anyone done something similar on the GMT-900s?

Let me know what you come up with. I have to run a CB in my truck and I've had it two weeks...currently it's sitting on the floor hump. I thought about mounting it in the bottom lockable console since I'm only responsible for making calls on it and never have to listen/change channels - just get on and yell at someone so out of the way would be ok too.

Right now I have a portable antennae with a magnet mount I just lower the window and stick on the roof - pretty high tech eh? At some point I need a real antennae permantely mounted.

BTW have you looked at the back glass on the NBS? Is that odd or what the way it sticks out there with no trim etc....

I put my Kenwood 480sat in , I used the 30amp wire for the brake controller to run power to the cab.

I dont need a seperate CB the 480 is unlocked, and I use a Tarhell antenna on a tri-magmount with a controller 80-6 meter it will match antenna.
