Valentine 1 Radar Detector...

I have V1 radar detector that i would like to hard wire into the fuse box. My question is, has anyone in here done this mod to their silverado? I have a friend who has done it, but with him stationed out of state, its kind of hard to get a good explanation. Hopefully someone can help me out.

I think you can just tap into the ignition so when u turn the key it turns on and then add an in-line fuse and of coarse ground it
