What Kinda Rims?

Recommended Posts

Driving down the road today and an escalade passed me with large chrome rims. Stopped at a light and i saw that they stuck out kinda far and when he stopped fully i noticed that on the side of the rim, right by the sidewall of the tire were spikes kinda like teeth, coming off of the rim about and inch sticking out away from the tire. They looked mean. Ive been in the market for some new wheels and these looked great. I couldnt get close enough to see the brand name on the rim though. Anyone with any ideas?

These?

Nope. The spikes were in pairs around the outside of the rim and they faced out, kinda like tire cutters you would see in a video game or something. they didnt stick out really far though, probably about 1/2 inch.

They were like little claws almost, facing out away from the vehicle. When the wheels were spinning it gave the wheel and illusion like it was wider than the tire.

LOL, I'd like to see those go through one of the automatic washes that have that tire brush/roller. It would chew it up and/or destroy the wheels.

The track that the tire goes into would probably mess up the rim. But they looked pretty mean. They woud look great as a good 18" rim with some terra graplers

I figured it out. I stopped at an performance shop where i go to school and it turned out that the guy driving the escalade was the owner. The rims were the DUB Creecha and only come in sizes 24" or 26". Oh well. I tried.

$1100 a piece!!!! Holy crap!!! Sorry, but spending $4500 on wheels (not including tires) is just insane.

What do you expect, dude was driving a Slade (that in itself is a waste of money in my opinion) ($65-$80,000 for a Luxed up Tahoe, Burban for Avalanche is what Cadillac really is) Just my .02 though

Not really pointless, i always agreed with the phrase "if you have, it spend it". But like many others, i dont have it, especially 1100$ a rim have it if u know what i mean. Definately outrageous. Looked good though.
