$45,000 MSRP? Offer $40,000

Pretty easy...go online to KBB.com or Edmunds.com, figure out what the invoice of the EXACT same truck is (just build it the same) and then shoot for that, minus rebates. It's always been my experience that, especially on trucks and SUVs, GM dealers typically automatically offer either a few hundred over invoice (still good) or right at invoice from the start.

Just know what that number is--remembering to factor in a few hundred for the advertising fee that goes with any new vehicle, and that doesn't always get calculated on the online systems--and see what it is in relation to their first offer. Should be very close, and if not, you'll know what to aim for.

Ya beet me to it. Invoice should be around 41k there is a 1000 rebate maybe 1500, I cant remamber right off hand. But 40K would be a good price either way.

I paid 500.00 under actual invoice plus all rebates, which was 500 when I purchased on 8/13/07. Dealer should show you the actual invoice (doesn't mean the dealer pd this price). The invoice I saw was right on with edmonds except for regional advertising. Retail with optiions 45,280. Invioice w/ options 41257.73

FYI, the dealership accepted my offer of $39500 ($43,500 OTD-California) I think they have rebates totaling $2000.

:crackup::idiot::confused:

should have a few extra bones for mods and anything else you would want to do with that truck, congrats on that, here I cannot get anything below $40,000 for a fully loaded Sierra Denali (original neighborhood MSRP of $52,000)

Thanks. Mine is not that loaded, just NAV, sunroof, and rear cargo. Getting either 22" or 24" so didnt go with the factory 20"s. Single so no need for rear ent. I think mine is more mid-opted.

I am single too, BUT I got a niece and 2 nephews that I have to 'haul' around, the more distracted they are, the better it is for me (just dont tell my sister) :crackup:
