I had been planning on buying a new gun for a while now, but I have always wanted a Kimber. Well I finally did it today. Went out and got a new Kimber Ultra Carry II.

Very Sweet Pistol!

I have a Kimber Custom II. Mine is 5 years old and has around 15k rounds thru it. Have never once had a problem. My finish is starting to get a little wear, so I am thinking about sending it back to Kimber and getting it re-finished.

By far, the best shooting 1911 based hand gun I have ever owned. :uhoh:

Very nice.

Kimber recommends 500 rounds through it to break everything in. HAPPY SHOOTING!

Pretty sweet! I love my 1911, but it's a bitch to carry. I'm seriously looking at a Para Carry.

Yeah but doesn't it feel good to be in a place that recognizes the right to carry?

Lookout thugs... WE SHOOT BACK!

If you ain't carryin' you ain't a Texan!

I have (2) Colt 1911 45ACP - gold cup and a combat elite - but for some reason i prefer to carry to carry a 6" Anaconda - concealment not really problem when your 6'2" and +275#'s

Hopefully I will get some of the break in done this weekend. I have to go back to the gun shop though, the brilliant guy that sold it to me gave me a box of .45 GAP and a box of .45 Long Colt :uhoh:

It is surprisingly small for a 1911. I will have to take a comparison pic tomorrow with my dad's 1911. But this new one cant compare to his since it is a REAL 1911...

I hate you all....

We cant "legally" have one here in BC (or the rest of Canada for that matter I believe)...It has to be locked up at a range or some BS like that.

Only long guns are to be kept at home...and even than you have to have a position license.

Tid bit of Canadian government brilliance.

The gun control program has cost to date, approx 2Billion dollars, revenue from persons registering firearms is approx 100 million....

It was estimated, 119 Mill, with only about 2 million cost to tax payers in the beginning, 1995, but now, 5 years over due, there are still about 1/3 of the public that refuse to register their guns and just the operating cost each year for the program is in the area of 75million.

Brilliant plan...register your guns, it will help stop crime....because IF, I wanted to kill someone with a gun I would give a rats ass if it was registered or not.

It's ok the government knows better than you! They know how you should live your life and they will protect you from all the bad people and yourself! An armed population has a government that fears and works FOR their citizens. The US is already on it's way down that path as well...

I want a 50 cal. Desert Eagle..If some thug is shooting at me, I want to be able to take cover, turn off the safe, lean out and blow his arm off. Hey, he probably won't be shooting anymore.

Do you have a concealed carry permit? If not, I highly recommend getting one and taking advantage of it.

While you are at it, join the NRA and protect you right to carry.
