Airport Security A Joke?!?!?!

I found an interesting article that raises questions about how effective airport screening really is.

For those of us who have travelled via commercial airlines with any regularity, we don't need a so-called 'expert' to tell us that all of the hoops and getting jerked around that the public has to go through under TSA screening procedures speaks more to the illusion of safety than anything substantive. Maybe now that the media is starting to give these 'experts' some time in the light, the public will begin to see how silly the constant barrage of "don'ts" from TSA really is. And hopefully, that will spark some pressure against the current security regime.

The media has been saying from day one how retarded and ineffective the new rules are as far as I've seen.

I bet any one of us on here could easily figure out how to get a weapon on a plane, if we wanted to.

 

If they want some security, they should give everyone a 2-3" knife as they get on the plane. I'd like to see someone try to hijack an airplane with 100+ armed people on it.

Thats what the terrorist will do, until they accomplish the task. These cowards have no respect for anyones life, even if it is a practice run. Even if they get on a plane without a weapon, they have made progress.

The only thing I have seen that may do some good is them putting armed personnel on the planes. But even with that, if you only have one or two people on a plane with 5 or 6 people trying to do some damage, even that won't do any good.

Screw knives, encourage everyone to carry a gun. An armed society is a polite society.
