Help On Wheel Choice!

Allright guys, I have a very tough decision to make.

I am definitely getting new tires/wheels soon but Im not 100% sure of what wheel I want.

I do know this much:

Polished wheels may be a little too much work for me.

Full black does not look good.

Black/silver combo looks very good.

 

I was almost completely decided upon the black HELO's until I saw them on whate trucks. They seem too "blacked out".

Some more I like include:

Eagle Wheels 137 black/polished

Incubus alloys 501 black

Ultra Wheels type 247

 

The wheel has to be a 17" and Id rather it be under $170 ea.

 

What do you guys think?

Of the links you gave, the Eagle 137s won't come up. Anyway, the Incubus wheels are cool in the fact that I like the black wheel/polished spoke combo. I don't really care for the spoke design, but I do like the color scheme.

Oh, and sorry about that Eagle link. I think those are a bit too expensive anyway.

 

But what do you guys think about the Incubus' wheels listing?

The seller has no website, shows no shipping costs and I cant reach him via phone.

The Incubus is a good looking wheel. I noticed that the 501 is not listed in a size smaller than 18" on the incubusalloy website, that alone would make me do some more digging before I bid. The guy has 99.2% positive feedback and he's sold 357 items, including wheel sets, so that's a good sign. I'd shoot him an email and ask some questions before I bid.

 

My personal opinion, though, is that you are better off going to a reputable shop when buying products like wheels. If a wheel comes in with a defect, there are fitment problems, or it fails after install you are more likely to get it fixed if you purchased from your local wheel shop than you are a random dude on ebay. Just my $.02.

 

Good luck on your decision. I spent hours and hours on the Internet, visited wheel shops, and mulled over which wheels I wanted for a year before I finally pulled the trigger. I'm happy with my decision, though.

Thanks, I see you were in the same spot I am now in.

I will see if my local Rick's or BIG 10 can get the wheels for me.

 

Like you said, it is very weird how the 17" Incubus wheels are not shown on their site but are shown on E-bay.

I do not currently have my own E-bay account, therefore I dont know how to e-mail him.

 

The DC-1's are really nice, but are a LOT more expensive than most.

 

But Ill just keep looking.

I really like your idea of Black/Silver wheels. It's a nice somewhat new look. I think those Incubus wheels you were looking at would look good on your truck.

Thanks. But I am starting to doubt that the Incubus wheels are even made in a 17" 6 spoke.

There are many others to choose from, but many just look too modern. Although modern is good, I want something easy to clean.
