I hope that everyone is enjoying their turkey day. There are many things to be thankful for. I am a military member at home. I am thankful to all those guys and gals out protecting our country while they are away from home.

Yes, agreed. For those in the US, we do have much to be thankful for.

 

With all due respect for our Native American brothers and sisters, we all can be thankful for the 'abundant harvest' - freedoms of thought, speech, movement, and religion or lack thereof.

For some this is a sad thanksgiving. A few weeks ago my neighbors wife died suddenly of heart failure. At the age of 51. Last week, there was a fatal traffic accident about 20 miles from where I live. It turns out a man I worked with years ago lost control of his truck, veered into oncoming traffic, struck a car driven by the wife of another coworker of mine head on. Both were killed at the scene.
