Any one else have to replace their front hub assembly? Back in Sepetember the right one went. And last week the left one went. My truck only has 83,000 miles on it. Hate to say this but I almost ready for a dodge......

Well... at least you'll have mechanical experience you'll need to fix it. Often.

Those hubs have been known to go especially if they have ever been in / under any water. Kinda hard to condemn a great truck because of a couple of hubs. How many Dodges go 83K with no problems? Probably not many.

The added weight of a front end replacement on a 3/4 ton truck can cause excessive wear. Front replacements are best used on 1 tons.

I know of 4 other men where I work that have had to replace at least one front hub. Bad design. I am a chevy man, but sure hard to take the $200 bite on these hubs.

Sure wish I had an address Chevrolete I could mail this old hub to.

Yeah. I'm not arguing the point that the hubs are not built well. You're right. They should be going 150K or more without issue.

On the flip side, one of my salesmen has an 04 Dodge 4x4 with a little over 60K on it and he has replaced a lot of stuff and brags about how he gets over 12 MPG. His has had especially bad luck with anything to do with brakes and has had a lot of electrical issues. I don't know how much he has spent but none the brake stuff was covered by his warranty. (which is supposed to be so good) He still thinks Dodge has been crowned king of all things car related.

Gotta figure all makes have their gremlins. It doesn't make it any easier to take though.

4 out of the 6 buttons on my stereo don't light up. the left side of my A/C shuts off and starts to blow hot air until I shut the key off and restart it. That is a $500 dallar part I was told.

These little things add up and frustrate you. The dealer wanted over $400 for the hub. I bought mine at O'Really's for $200. One year warranty on them.

Like I said, It sure is hard to be a hard core Chevy man some times.
