equate975 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Hello, first post here. I have a 2007 suburban that I want to disable the door, and hopefully, the key chime. I was browsing around on here and found some info on 05 trucks IIRC but the 07 is different. So far I found this on alldata: " DRIVER DOOR AJAR AND PASSENGER DOOR AJAR The driver door switch (DDS) and passenger door switch (PDS) receive a discrete input from the respective door ajar switch to indicate the status of the door. The DDS or PDS then communicates this status to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) via LAN message. The IPC, upon receipt of this LAN message, will illuminate the appropriate door ajar message in the driver information center (DIC) and also send a LAN message to the radio to activate the door ajar audible warning when the following conditions are met: The transmission is removed from PARK The vehicle speed is greater then 8.05 km/h (5 mph) " So I looked up the BCM pinouts and this is all I could find for door ajar switches It looks to me like there is a switch for every door, except I cannot find a driver door one. My first guess would be just to unplug all those wires and hopefully it would stop chiming at me. Does anyone know of a better way to disable the door chime? I know this wouldn't disable the key chime either. I was hoping there would be a more elegant way, maybe to reporgam the PCM or something to ignore chimes. Or maybe even give it an arbitrary value like to come on at 9999 mph. Any help would be great, TIA!
