They had to install a module in order for my Clifford Alarm/RS system to work on my truck. That Module interacts with the onboard computer. It is needed.

I've had my Viper 791XV on my other truck for over a year now and love it have never had a problem just the batteries in the 2-way remotes die really quick so you gotta replace them often. And that module you need is for the chip in your key it's to bypass it but just for the alarm it doesn't disable it entirely

Yes, you will need a module - think it has to do w/ the locks.

I love mine - i have 2 way w/ remote start.. Works AWESOME!! But yes does eat batts.. about 1 AAA every month - no biggie

Just get a reputable shop to install it.

You do need a module.

BTW, Ebay has some great deals on Compustar 2WSS-AS (alarm and starter) combos with a pager.

anyone know around what the price of the module will be...i had one in my old truck and it dident mess up anything. granted my old truck was a 96 so it might be easier or harder to install...my guess is easier though
