U-bolts

I've got a 1975 GM K14 1/2 ton. I'm trying to find out what size the u-bolts are that hold the leaf springs in the rear. I thought they were 3 3/8" wide but my brother says that's too wide. He thinks they are 3 1/4" wide. I've seen 3 1/8" but 3 1/4.

measure the distance between the holes on the plate,center to center.or a caliper on the diff.

Thanks. Measured it today. Looks like mine are 3".
