Cd Player

I have an 06 silverado and i need to get the dash off to get a cd player in, how do i do that, i got the speakers in it today and d**n what a pain in the ass, it took forever to get the door skin off, Please help me

I finally got the system in my truck hooked up, it was easy to get the dash off, just pull and there it goes but now when you turn the radio on the d**n volume goes to 10 and with a 1000w amp and 2 12's its pretty freaking loud in the regular cab. How do i get it to go down and stay. I have a dual xdvd700 for the head unit.

I have a Dual CD unit in another car of mine and there is a way to "set" the volume to what ever level you want on power on. Check out your manual for the specific directions.
