Nice truck man! Hoe much did you pay? Is it the 5.3 or 4.8? What rear end did you get?

It's a 2007. I got it brand new, one of just a few left. Sticker on it was right at $30k. I paid nearly $2k under that since I took the special financing of 1.9% for 72 months.

It has the non flex-fuel version of the 5.3L with AFM. First full tank I averaged 16.6MPG, but that was approx 70/30 city to highway. I believe it has the 3.42 gearing in the rear. I didn't get the larger gearing since I'm wanting to get the best possible fuel mileage I can out of it, lol. I would rarely ever tow with it though we are looking at getting a popup camper one day.

Nice Truck. I always likes the black look.....that is until it got slightly dirty :D

Nothing looks better than a freshly waxed/polished black vehicle......nothing looks worse twenty minutes later :) Guess it is a lot better in warm weather climates that don't see too much precipitation.

Slick look on the new rig. Is that a long bed or regular size box? My Z71 has the short box which I think is a slick look too. This truck looks like a 2500! I like it!

Bish, it's funny you should say that. As I am no longer allowed to wash/wax the truck in my garage (I live in a apt building) I decided to find an auto detailer who would allow me to use his space for a few hours in the evenings. The third place I walked into was not much to speak of, but it had heat, fluorescent lighting, and he even had a dyno in the back (which he had never used as he did not know what it was). After spending a good hour talking with him, I negotiated my own personal garage, and in return, I said I would help him fix the place up (needs paint and some electrical). I vow never to drive a dirty black truck again. :D

Nice truck Jason. One word of advice. Wipe it down after it rains. It will save you a lot of energy trying to remove those spots. I am amazed at the incredible financing GMAC offers. I bought my truck as well. Couldn't pass up free money. Congrats.

This is very true about black vehicles - they look great clean, but every spec of dirt shows on them, not to mention every scrape and ding too. There is also another thing - in hot climates you do not want a black truck - black colored vehicles get extremely hot in the sun.

Yes, they do. That's when the best parking spots aren't the closest ones, but the ones that have the best shade. That's also a a great use for remote start.

I'm loving the truck the more I drive it. Tonight was no exception. My wife and I were meeting a buddy of mine and his girlfriend for dinner and a movie. He drives a 2007 Ford Fusion with the 4cyl. He and I are always picking at each other about Ford vs Chevy. When I was looking at this truck he kept bugging me to get the Tundra, lol.

Anyway, he was picking at me regarding the fact that I was driving conservatively (better fuel mileage) and said he thought my truck had a V8. So at this one light with him behind me I floor it. This truck not only spun the back tires, but took off like a bat out of hell. Lets just say I was extremely impressed and had him admitting he was impressed as well.

I just love flooring it on the freeway and it actually pinning me to the back of my seat. My wife HATES it when I do that, but it's fun.

This truck has the standard bed in it. Because of it's length it will not fit in our garage. Oh well. I'm planning on running boards, spray-in bed liner, and maybe some turn signal mirrors in the future.
