Is it possible to swap out the manual temp control to an auto temp control, or is there more invlolved?

That issue has been discussed several time. The conversion is complicated as it would involve installation of the cabin temperature sensor, associated wiring, as well as other parts that are exclusive to the auto climate control. Many people claim that they would rather have manual system. I have the manual A/C and I am happy with it. The cabin sensor has a fan and it tends to be noisy.

Your talking about an obs nbs doesnt have the noisey fan but a quick look at the schematics tells me is it possible maybe but you would realy realy realy realy want it. It's way more complicated for starters there are 6 temp sensors(ambient, upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right, and inside temp) Then the control head and you need to factor in that other modules need to know there is auto and not manual which would require at the least reprogramming of the modules that need to know and maybe replacement if they can't be programmed for that option. My vote is a big no.
