Front Diff Leak

Well, I crawled under and did my oil change and saw a leak where my front drive shaft goes into the front diff. I would really like to do this repair myself but need some info. Are there any special tools needed, and if at all possible would anyone have any instruction? Looks pretty straight forward, remove front drive shaft and change the seal...but the way the front shaft hooks to the transfer case looks wierd. Any advice or info would be appreciated. Yes it is auto 4x4.

I had to do that on my '99 a couple years ago. Here's some info I put together. Mine's a half ton, so your 2500 may have some different torque specs and such. I used a Haynes manual when I did mine. Good luck.

Mountaineer Tom, I see by your pictures you did some time at Osan...been there a few times while stationed at Kadena AB, Okinawa. Good to see another service member.
