Air Shocks

The self leveling system on my 02 denali seems to come on all the time, at lights, when driving...with a load in the back, or nothing in the back. In conjunction with this, the handling appears to be a little sloppy, with a bit of bounce just going down the road. How likely, and how would I determine if the fault is in the self leveling / autoride system? Say an air leak or otherwise? My local dealer insists the system is operating fine.
