If you bypass it the check engine light will come on.
Bostonsfavson Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I'm sure someone makes them for your engine. I cleared the guts out of the catalytic converter on an '02 Firebird once, after which the downstream O2 sensor started throwing a code. I installed an O2 sensor and it cleared the check engine light. Very handy.
beppe Posted January 21, 2008 Author Posted January 21, 2008 ThanK you very much boys, you know a brands product o2 simulator ? I love and dreaming U.S.A.
beppe Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 Because i have a gpl system and they generated error at 2O sensor. In Italy the fuel price is 1,6 € Liter and the american truck mounting a gpl system
MorrisGray Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I am looking for some o2 sensor simulators or eliminators myself. I put headers on and a custom side exit exhaust. The headers had a place for the front sensors but there is no place for the rears and I don't want to attempt drilling in my custom exhaust possibly destroying it or causing a leak. I can not find them on internet searches for a Silverado/GM/Chevrolet. I have a 2002 model and right now the rear sensors are unplugged from the harness mounted on the frame and stored in my toolbox. Anybody have any solutions for what I want to purchase?
txab Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 With a custom tune you can turn the rear O2 sensors off Google search: http://www.google.com/search?q=oxygen+sensor+simulator&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
MorrisGray Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I have tried most or a lot of the websites that pop up under search terms but have not found any simple good results that will fit or claim to fit a Silverado. Maybe I can't get what I am looking for but have found many online posts refering to "dummy o2 sensors", "o2 sensor sims", "o2 sensor simulators", etc. I was hoping someone had found a solution already that was in use currently.
txab Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Most people turn them off and don't fark with "simulators"
