I saw this on MSN this morning and it may be an advertisement but it is good. The link to the video is a clip with a GM rep talking about the Malibu.

 

I had noticed this in one I looked at but they show the Bowtie in the headlight deflectors. The Bowtie also appears in the tailights and marker lights. No big deal but I thought it was a nice touch.

 

I guess because I am such a big GM fan, I just want to see the car do well for them.

Little bit more info. This car is a great car and it looks like the market agrees with me.

I agree. I hope the car does well for GM.

 

If they wouldn't flood the rental car market (which places the resale in the toilet after 2 years), I'd consider buying one. Until they do, I'll keep my Honda.

Its indeed a good car, I'd take it over the Toyota or Honda anyday, would love to see the 3.8L Supercharged 6 in there, but what I do not like is the rear end, its a rip off of the old Mitsubishi Diamonte

GM is not making as many Rental car fleet sales as they did in the past. I remember last year they could have sold another 50-75,000 Impalas(or something like that), but GM stated they were going away from the large fleet sales due to minimal profit margins and hurting resale values.

Excellent! GMs previous history on this has screwed us in the resale dapartment. (right along with Ford and Chrysler)

 

I'v always been a GM fan first... just can't see taking it in the shorts at trade in time if I don't have to. I like the new Mailbu and the G8. One of them might just be my next car.
