I know some who has a K&N FiPK Gen 2 Cold Air Intake, and they are very satisfied, but i havnt heard anything about the Volant Intake..all i know is that it costs more..

I personally have the Volant w/ Powercore which is a dry element filter. I've been trhough numerous K&N filters and CAIs and have also had numerous problems with the oil from the filters coating the MAF. The K&N will sound a little louder under the hood because it is an open box design, whereas the Volant is a closed system. I prefer the Volant. Just my .02

ive been selling aftermarket products for quite some time now and i have to say. Honestly go anywere and say K&N people know what your talking about, K&N has a hold on that market and always will , just because they were there in the begging and been used by everybody.

Other than that i have a heck of a time even selling the volant systems, people just want the best price. Over all on a dyno your maybe getting 10rwhp if that so its up to you if you want to spend 300 or 600 to get that number.

Remember plastic intakes usally are better for releasing heat than metal but meatal sounds cooler....or just buy one of those air raid spacer to get that sound you want.
