Can I Run E-85 In My 06 Vortec Max ?

Just curious if i can run E-85 in my 06 siverado vortec max ??? Anyone know ?

Absolutely, positively NOT!!!! Unless it specifically says "FlexFuel" or E85 compatible. Is your gas cap yellow? If not, then NO!!! Pretty sure no 6.0's are E85 compatible yet. Just some of the 5.3's

No dont do it unless you have a money tree out back.Injectors,seals,on and on and on.I had a customer come in and keep telling us he should be able to and he did.We fixed his car twice on he's dime lots and lots of his money

No not in person but If I heard right its pretty high.

Yeah, I'd rather use propane like our Schwan's trucks are equipped with bi-phase LP converted 8.1L big blocks. 114 octane

Those 17K lb. trucks get up and go. With LP the big block is puttin down duramax power at much cheaper fuel cost.

Thats cool the only time I drove anything with LP was a converted shop truck 1978 f series ford.It was either running or on the side of the road pissing me off.

Currently the only company is Bi-phase who was bought up by Schwan's a few years ago. But there's still a few pre-buyout F-250's with the older technology floating around out there. President Bush had one on his ranch for a while.
