Dual Climate Question

I just bought a 2004 silverado with the automatic dual climate control. I can't seem to get the a/c to stay on. The little snowflake on the dash just flashes and then shuts off. I'm trying to test all the features to make sure they work. It is winter where I am, so i'm wondering if it won't come on because of the outside temp. Thanks again

make sure your selector is not in AUTO...then crank it all the way to cold...if it is in auto it will go to the setpoint you selected and the thermostat will cycle

Outside air temp MUST be 40 degrees fahrenheit or above to cycle the A/C compressor.

LOL that's good to know...I have never tried :chevy: I was just bitching about it being -17* this morning and wishing my heated seats were faster acting.

So his symptoms are normal.

Thanks for the info on that. I was wondering what was going on there. Its going to the dealer tomorrow because the pass side only blows hot air no matter what the setting is on. Any ideas of what it could be or how long it will take. Hope it only takes a day.
