Service/repair Manuals

I'm looking for a set of factory service/repair manuals (wiring, mechanical, abs, etc) for '06 GMC 5500 with 6.6duramax. Any suggestions would be appreciated

You can get some at www.helminc.com they make the manuals for dealers

I've always have bought the factory manuals from Helms and about 2 others as well as ebay.

I like the DVD version.

So does my wallet.

Go with a helm if you want the real shop manuals which amounts to about a 13" book when all of them are stacked or you can't go wrong with a Chilton or Haynes for $20.00

I disagree, the $20 books are almost worthless unless your only mission is to find the gas cap and the steering wheel.

Many people who have those books almost always come to these forums looking for more and better info than the generic info in their $20 book.

Better to by the $20 DVD and get it ALL.

Thanks to everyone for your help! I agree the $20 books you get at Advance Auto Parts are about useless!! I'll probably go with the helms and the DVD- you can never have too much info

Just tried the emailing the guy for one for 20 and he says they are no longer available. Wonder if they were pirated or if he ran out.

Given that Helms Inc sells the paper copy for $135 and the DVD for $400, I'd say a $20 DVD was pirated. It seems GM are trying to restrict easy low cost access to the information. For example Toyota sell one day access to their online system for $10 which is great for the odd one off investigation.
